IS NIGERIA REALLY INEDEPEDENT 🇳🇬 @60?
In every society, 60 represents a stage where one is seen as Old and wise, a role model for the younger generation, a cradle of knowledge and a fountain of excellence. Can this be said of our country Nigeria 🇳🇬 ? In all honesty, Absolutely NOT. We’ve had our good years, but the terrible years we have been living in has out done the swift and good ones.
Nigeria 🇳🇬 can easily be compared to an old car that has just only been repainted by its owner-Young at heart but drastically aging before our eyes, or even to a rebellious teen, who just wants to have their way, yet knows nothing about life. What happens to such a teenager? He/she would definitely learn things the hard way.
Nigeria 🇳🇬 , popularly called The Giants of Africa(the poorest continent in the world) And now given the famous name as POVERTY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. Notwithstanding, is still home to a high rate of cultural diversification, mineral resources, amazing climate and a host of hard working people.
As a country, and as all other countries in the world, we’ve been through hell and back and now on the verge of recovery. The much asked question is, how long would this recovery take? Another 60years?
Our Independence is definitely something to celebrate, as we are now free from colonialism and the trauma of slavery, but one should ask themselves, are we really free?
Are we really independent? Or now bound by our own chains of corruption?
